If you want to find someone on LPSG, the platform has several search methods that work well — provided you know the right username or have some identifying information to work with. LPSG is an anonymous community by design, so finding members requires understanding how the platform’s search and profile system works. This guide covers every method available.
Method 1 — Search by Username Directly
The most direct way to find someone on LPSG is through the member search function. Click the search icon in the LPSG navigation and look for the Members search option, or navigate to the Members directory if available in your account. Enter the username you are looking for and press Enter. Consequently, if the account exists and is active, the profile appears in results immediately.
Username searches on LPSG are exact or prefix-based — partial username searches may not return results if the matching portion is in the middle of the name. Therefore, if you remember only part of a username, try entering the beginning of it first. Additionally, LPSG search is not case-sensitive, so capitalisation does not affect whether a profile is found.
Method 2 — Find Someone Through Their Posts
If you remember reading a post from someone but cannot recall their exact username, use LPSG’s advanced search with a keyword from their post combined with any partial username you remember. Search results include the author of each matching post. Clicking the author’s name in any search result takes you directly to their profile. Furthermore, if you remember which forum section or thread the post was in, navigating there directly and browsing recent posts is often faster than using search for older content.
This method works particularly well for finding members who posted something distinctive — a memorable personal story, a specific question, or a phrase you remember. LPSG search indexes full post content, so searching for a specific phrase from a post you remember returns results quickly. Read our LPSG search tips guide for advanced search techniques.
Method 3 — Check Your Private Message History
If you have previously communicated with someone via LPSG private messages and want to find them again, your message inbox retains conversation history. Navigate to your private messages section and browse or search your conversation history. Clicking the username of any message participant takes you directly to their profile. Additionally, even if they have not messaged recently, old conversations remain in your inbox unless you have manually deleted them.
Method 4 — Find Someone Through Threads They Participated In
If you know a member is active in a specific forum section, browsing recent threads in that section and looking for their name in the reply lists is a reliable method. LPSG threads display the username of every member who replied, and clicking any username links directly to their profile. Furthermore, threads are sorted by most recent activity, making it easy to find currently active members in any given section.
Additionally, if you remember a specific thread the person created or replied to, finding that thread and then visiting the poster or replier’s profile is often faster than using the member search. LPSG thread pages display full usernames throughout, making this a quick visual lookup method.
Method 5 — Follow or Bookmark Profiles You Want to Find Again
If you find someone’s profile and want to be able to locate them easily in the future, use LPSG’s follow or watch feature on their profile. Followed members appear in your following list, which acts as a personal directory of accounts you want to keep track of. Consequently, you never need to search for them again — they remain accessible from your profile’s social connections section.
Additionally, bookmarking specific threads that someone participates in actively ensures you can find their contributions again even if you forget their username. LPSG’s bookmark system sends notifications when new replies are added to watched threads, which naturally surfaces the relevant member’s activity in your notifications.
Understanding LPSG’s Anonymous Design
LPSG is built around anonymity. Most members use pseudonymous usernames with no connection to their real identity. As a result, there is no way to find someone on LPSG using their real name, phone number, location, or social media presence unless they have voluntarily connected their LPSG identity to those details in their own profile or posts.
This design is intentional and a core part of what makes LPSG a safe community for discussing sensitive topics. Therefore, if you are trying to identify an anonymous LPSG member’s real identity, the platform provides no tools for this — and attempting to do so through doxxing is one of LPSG’s most serious rule violations, resulting in an immediate permanent ban.
