Does this tool upload my image anywhere?▼
No. When you drop or select a file, it is read locally by your browser using the JavaScript FileReader API. The image data never leaves your device and is never sent to any server. All size, dimension, and format checks happen entirely in your browser. Safe to use with private or personal images.
Why does LPSG reject my image even when the file seems normal?▼
The most common causes are file size exceeding the limit, unsupported format (HEIC from iPhones is most frequent), pixel dimensions being too large, and browser extensions blocking the upload request. This tool identifies the first three causes. If the tool shows your image is fine but uploading still fails, a browser extension is likely the cause.
How do I convert a HEIC image to JPEG for LPSG?▼
On iPhone, go to Settings → Camera → Formats → Most Compatible. For existing HEIC files, email the photo to yourself and save the attachment. On Mac, open in Preview and export as JPEG. On Windows, use the free online tool Squoosh.app to convert in your browser without installing software.
What is the maximum image file size for LPSG uploads?▼
LPSG’s upload limit is approximately 10MB for general media uploads. Profile pictures have a stricter limit of around 2MB. Compressing images to under 5MB for general uploads and under 1MB for profile pictures ensures reliable uploads across all conditions.
